California Safety Manuals
A safety manual brings several written programs together in one readable file. California Safety Programs builds that file from your answers about your business, using the programs in our catalogue. It is a starting point for employer completion and implementation.
A manual and an IIPP serve different purposes
An Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP) is one written program. A manual combines the catalogue programs your answers call for. Buying a Single IIPP does not include the combined manual, the other programs or the Employee Safety Handbook. Choose a subscription if you want the manual and its supporting documents.
What you receive with a subscription
You can download the combined manual and the individual documents included in your plan as editable Word files. Your account keeps answers and document versions, with record forms and a compliance calendar. Read the catalogue before buying: the number and type of programs depend on your answers, your plan and the work our software supports.
Starter and Pro have different coverage
Starter excludes the silica exposure control plan and respiratory protection program. Those plans require Pro, within our supported-work limits. Choosing Pro does not make unsupported work supported. The pricing page explains each plan and its exclusions; the free silica screener can help you explore silica coverage before building a program.
What stays with the employer
Check the answers, fill in the sections marked for employer completion, assess the actual workplace and put the procedures into practice. A generated document does not perform inspections, train staff or measure exposures. The silica and respiratory plans have not received a comprehensive professional review. Generated documents are not professionally approved, certified or endorsed by this purchase.
Read a manual before deciding
Our full-length samples use fictional businesses and show the forms, citations and completion notices in the output. They are examples to inspect, not programs to adopt for your own workplace. After reading them, build your own program and examine its preview before choosing a purchase.
