Refund Policy

Why it works that way
What you are buying is a set of files. Once they are on your computer there is no way to give them back, and no way for us to take them back — so the download is the point at which the sale is complete. Until you take them, your money is yours.
That is why we show you what you are getting before you download it, and why the download button tells you what clicking it does.
Which payments this covers
Every successful payment has its own 7-day window, counted from the moment the payment succeeds:
- your first purchase — Starter, Pro or a single document;
- each yearly renewal of a subscription;
- an upgrade from Starter to Pro.
A refund is of that payment, in the amount you paid.
What counts as downloading
Downloading an editable file — the Word document (.docx) or the bundle (.zip) — under that purchase, after the payment. We record the date and time of each download and the purchase it was made under. For an upgrade payment, what counts is downloading a file that needs Pro.
Reading the watermarked preview never counts. Visiting the download page does not count either. Looking at the button is not taking the goods.
A download made under a different purchase does not count against this one. If you bought a single document for one company and another for a second company, downloading the first does not end the window on the second.
Editing and regenerating
Editing your answers, regenerating a program or updating its template is not a new purchase. It does not start a new refund window, and it does not reopen one that has closed.
Renewals
A renewal payment is refundable on the same terms: within 7 days of the renewal charge, if no editable file has been downloaded under the subscription since that charge.
What a refund does
A full refund ends the access that payment bought. For a subscription it also cancels the subscription, so that it does not charge again. Files downloaded under a payment that was refunded in full cannot be downloaded again from your account. A full refund of an upgrade charge returns the subscription to Starter.
A partial refund, where we agree one with you, changes nothing else: your access and your subscription continue.
If something went wrong on our end
A failed delivery, a broken file, a duplicate charge, a generator error, a document that does not match the answers you gave — tell us and we will fix it or refund it, downloaded or not, window or no window. This policy limits refunds for changing your mind. It does not limit our responsibility for our own mistakes.
What this product is, and what it is not
We generate written safety programs from the answers you give us, current to the California standards cited in each document on the date it was issued. We are not a law firm and this is not legal advice. We do not represent you before Cal/OSHA.
A written program is one part of compliance. Cal/OSHA judges a program by whether it is effective — whether it is followed, whether employees know about it, whether it has been communicated to them, and whether hazards found are actually corrected. No document can do those things for you, and we do not guarantee any particular outcome of an inspection. A refund is not available on the grounds that a program you did not implement did not protect you.
Which version applies to a payment
This version applies to payments made under it: payments made after it was published, on or after the date at the top of this page. It does not change the terms of a payment made before then. A payment made under an earlier version of this policy stays under that version, and your billing page shows which version each of your payments was made under. The earlier version is kept here: Refund Policy of August 31, 2026.
How to ask
Email us with the company name on the order and the date of the payment. Refund requests go to support@californiasafetyprograms.com. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method.
This policy is displayed at checkout as well as here. California Civil Code §1723 requires a seller offering less than a full seven-day refund to display its policy conspicuously; a generated program is a customized good and is sold as final once delivered.
